The purpose of the workshop is to provide business’s who do not have a HR Manager / Dept with the basics HR in order to be compliant.

 The Workshop will address the following:

  • Recruitment & Selection – do’s & don’ts.
  • Terms of Employment – Changes coming into effect from 4th March are you ready?
  • Policies – what policies do you need to have in place to ensure you are compliant?
  • Employee Handbook – Do you need one?
  • Managing performance – some simple steps to manage performance.
  • Discipline – What are the steps and how do you avoid an outcome resulting in a complaint to the Workplace Relations Commission.
  • Termination of Employment – what to watch out for!

 

About the trainer:

Paddie has over 20 years experience working in HR Management, working with various business types from SMEs to Hotels to Nursing Homes to Financial Institutions, most of whom do not have a HR function.  Paddie has worked in both unionised and non-unionised organisations and has a practical approach to managing HR.  Paddie’s main focus is on prevention and compliance and will help employers with all their HR needs while ensuring they do not end up with a legal challenge.
